As the new semester is around the corner, we as the fashion bees in town bring you possible hair-dos you can try out. This week, we introduce to you the pixie haircut.

It’s a boyish – yet – still feminine style. It’s edgy and it can be cute, sexy, sophisticated or funky.
This hair-do looks great on most face shapes.

However, it invites attention. So if you hate attention, then this most definately is not your kind of hairstyle. You would rather opt for something else.

Unfortunately,  if you are overweight too, this hairstyle may be a disfavor to you. So in simple words,  it’s a no go area for you!!

With this hair-do your face is on display, your attracting attention, so your makeup is very important. You need makeup that will bring out your facial features in a good way. Either bold lips or bold eyes are recommended. By bold lips, I mean bright pinks or reds and for the bold eyes, long lashes and an amazing eye shadow color.

How to tell if you would look good with a pixie hair-do:

#1: Consider your face shape
Pixie hair-dos are not as flattering on long face shapes. They look best on women with heart shaped faces or oval faces. You could always consult with your friends or your saloon woman or man if your not sure of your face shape.

#2: Do you have great shoulders, a nice jawline and a long neck?
If you are blessed with great shoulders, a nice jawline and a long neck, a pixie hair-do will be very flattering on you. A short neck, double chin or wide shoulders on the other hand, the pixie may be a nightmare on you. For your case, you would rather go for a hairstyle that falls atleast an inch below the chin.

#3: Size matters
The pixie works best on females with long, elegant necks. Petite thin women also look great with this hairstyle. The tall, thin women can pull off this look as well.

#4: Consider your personality
Considering the fact that this look invites alot of attention, a person who loves to hide behind her hair should not opt for it. If your an attention loving sort of person, then this suits you beyond reasonable doubt!

#5: Consider your maintenance
Maintaining a pixie hair-do is not a walk over like many would love to assume. It requires atleast two or more visits to the saloon depending on how long you intend to have this hairstyle. So if money is not your friend and yet you love to keep your hair for over a month, you just might want to rethink your decision!

To sum it all up, this look is a must try out for the trendy and adventurous campus girls out there.
