A Ugandan Youtube Vlogger has entered the book of Guiness World Records for making the world’s largest rolex- of course any Ugandan would know what ‘rolex’ we are talking about here and if you don’t, it is the popular Ugandan delicacy of chapati and eggs.
24-year-old Raymond Kahuma, who says dropped out campus in his first semester, set out to make the world’s largest rolex and after several attempts, and with a team of over 10 chefs, and after spending close to shs25m, he did and got a Guinness World Records recognition.
The rolex, Kahuma says, weighed over 200 kilograms.
Guinness World Records, known from its inception in 1955 until 1999 as The Guinness Book of Records and in previous United States editions as The Guinness Book of World Records, is a reference book published annually, listing world records both of human achievements and the extremes of the natural world.
The failed attempts, he says, cost him over $5,000 (roughly 17,500,000 ugx) as the team struggled to lift the dough on the makeshift frying pan in Kasokoso, Kireka, Kampala.
Here’s the video of Raymond’s exhilarating attempts at making the world’s largest rolex. Enjoy!
