From Muk Student
It’s a pity to announce that the ‘gwoja mukyalo yaayagala ade mukyalo’ (literally translated as, the one you bring from the village will always want to go back to the village) Buganda proverb may have truly come to live.
The precious exotic Kampala based Acacia mall may by now be a song to each ones ears and a steak out joint for many Muk students trying to show a little uptown class. Unfortunately to the UCU Mukono babes this whole name just continues to sound mythical and a mystery to their ears.
The Muk chics will ask for airtime on Facebook and a pizza on their first date, the ucu babes have continued to yearn for chicken, milk, cookies and cakes. With the hunger detected around this particular babe – Birungi Maria a second year BLIS student and proud Busia city born, I offered to lend a hand. With the class of style this girl takes herself for around campus, a meal at Endiro Coffee located at the spacious Acacia mall could do.
To my astonishment she didn’t ask for location as “Where is that?” like anyone could expect rather threw out the “what’s dat?” question. Villager detected! I did initially think that if you’re a chic out there emulating classy style physically please compliment it with the brain know how or alternatively live a normal life and save yourself the embarrassment ladies.
