The minister of Security, General Elly Tumwine has cautioned youths to desist from causing violence ahead of the upcoming general elections.
While speaking to a group of Makerere university students on Friday, the security minister warned the youths that those who go on streets to demonstrate or attack security personnel will face dire consequences.
“Young people, don’t be used foe the wrong things. Whoever will go [streets] will go on his own risk, not as representing the youths. You should be ready for the consequences that go with it,” Gen Tumwine warned.
He urged the students to utilize this week to drum up support from President Museveni to secure their future.
