Finalists of different Universities in Uganda have left their parents in shock as they deliberately give firm reasons for not showing up at home.

Independently living and other transition behaviors (e.g sexual initiation and marriage) have represented a more mature claim.
Home-leaving is considered an important marker of the transition to adulthood and is usually framed as an individual decision.

These students would rather kiss their asses than give in to going home and get soaked in housework and curfew. Imagine the life transition that would be!

Well, one who lives out of the contemporary culture of a typical African home where the child needs to engage in house chores will not escape the fact that home nags: a bit, Ooops!! Rather a lot. These young people envision the job market as one that is competitive and for them to grab a portion of the job share, they need to be smart and start now on their own to prove their worth.

We can all choose to recall the incident of propositions as finalists have their ribs already shared amongst many. Oh yes, people do fall in love and research shows that it’s normal. So, will one go make out with the girlfriend/boyfriend at home?

Rather, after spending roughly 18 years at school, Community views the person as one who shouldn’t be milking money out of the parents but taking care of them. Whereas some young people stay in slums or less privileged homes compared to hostels and halls of residences; that is one good hell of reason.

The nation’s young adults are on the run in search of rentals and apartments to prove the grown up mind in them. Much as all this may be justified, students with or without a choice to stay home should take a chill pill as research shows that they do stay longer.
