Fight broke out at the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) Main Campus in Mbale City again. This is a second time within a week for the university to register fire outbreak.
According to information that Campus Bee has verified with the university administration, the fire caught broke out in one of the rooms in Summayah Hostel.
“We regret to inform you that there was a fire outbreak in one of the rooms in Summayya (females) Hostel, which left one student injured & damaged some property. The injured student was rushed to Mbale Referal Hospital for further management,” the university reported.
The university says investigations are underway to establish the cause of the fire.
“Investigations are going on to establish the cause of the fire. What happened was unfortunate, but we take precautions to prevent future fat,” the university added.
Campus Bee has been informed that the fire was caused by electrical fault.
Two days ago, fire also caught Rahma Females’ Hostel at the same university.
