Former Makerere University Vice Chancellor Prof Venansius Baryamureeba has had a rough reception of comments to his theory of treating Covid-19. The 2016 Presidential Candidate, who is a renown Professor of Computer Science took to social media to share his recipe to tackle the deadly corona virus.
“Here is a cure for COVID-19. Everybody can use it except pregnant women. Its contra capsules. Just get a normal dose as prescribed by a medical professional like what you take when having a cold or cough. That’s it,” the Professor shared.
To his dismay, the social media residents joked about the idea since it seemed abstract, lacked medical explanation or relevant testimonies.
The National Drug Authority (NDA) as well did not turn a blind eye to Mr. Baryamureeba’s tweet since he is an influential figure in the public eye. NDA trashed the Professor’s message with an unapologetic response:
