The Science Citation Index updated the list best university scientists globally. With the new updates, a new list of best scientists in Uganda has been revealed.
According to the list, Makerere University has over 20 of its lecturers in the top positions, Kampala International University and Busitema University followed with more than 5 lecturers on the lists.
In order to come up with the list, the Science citation Index based on the number of research journals produced by lecturers from different universities.
Science Citation Index was launched in 1964 and currently covers more than 9,200 notable and significant journals, across 178 disciplines, from 1900 to the present. These are alternatively described as the world’s leading journals of science and technology, because of a rigorous selection process.
