Makerere University’s Academic Registrar’s Department has officially released the admission list for government Sponsorship program for the upcoming academic year 2025/2026.
The eagerly anticipated announcement brings welcome news to thousands of prospective students who have secured places in Uganda’s premier institution of higher learning on national merit. This year’s admission process was highly competitive, with a record number of applications received across all faculties and departments.
“We are pleased to welcome another cohort of bright minds to Makerere University,” said, the Academic Registrar.
The admission list covers all colleges within the university, including the College of Health Sciences, College of Business and Management Sciences, College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology, and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, among others.
Orientation activities for new students are scheduled to begin in mid-August, with classes officially commencing on September 1, 2025.
