Dear mother,
I am glad you kept me, I am glad you didn’t abandon me,
Many are killed before they are even born,
Thank you for persevering, through thick and thin.
Thank you for being the force that pushed me forward.
Thank you for being my mother.
Flower of beauty, source of inspiration,
Force of life, mentor of men,
A force to reckon, in this business of life.
Strong and brave, like an oak tree .
You lifted me from low to high.
I remember the old days, when you held me in your arms,
As I cried through obscene hours of the night,
When I was sick, you hardly slept.
You didn’t give up on me even when many did.
You still knew I was your little child capable of change.
And many a times, I let you down,
I did the things you told me to avoid,
I hang(ed) out with the people you warned me about,
I make you heart go wandering round and round.
But still, I’m your little child and in your arms, peace reigns.
You are a blessing worth counting,
You are my guardian angel, and you’ve been since my birth,
You are my daily motivation and best friend.
You are my mother and I your little child.
Thank you for being my mother.
Endless blessings I wish for you,
Endless wishes I have for you,
My prayers involve the word mum,
I might not admit it but, I am still your lil child.
I love you mother, because of that, I will celebrate you err day.
