Kenneth Kanyesigye, is a suspect who is said to have died after injecting self with a harmful substance was on the run after it was alleged that he killed his girlfriend Akankunda Evas, a medical student at Kampala International University. According to the district OC CID Wakoli Moses Suleiman, Kanyesigye’s body was found lying in a room at Newlife Lodge in Tororo.
The Police also established that Kanyesigye after terminating girlfriend’s life tried to sneak out of the country to the neighboring Kenya but is alleged that he decided to finish off his life after attempts to cross hit a dead end.
ASP Wakoli says that he reported the incident to CPS Kampala for the next action adding that the body of the late clinician is in the municipality mortuary awaiting postmortem examination.
He appeals to hotel owners to always pick details of their clients on top of asking members of the public to always report strangers in their areas to responsible authorities before related crimes happen.
Kanyesigye came to lime light early this week when his girlfriend Akankunda Evas who was a fourth year Medical student at Kampala International University was found dead in her room at Kiryandongo General Hospital in Kiryandongo town council where she was placed for a community attachment.
