How to Spend Valentine’s Day Single

Every corner of the street is littered with roses, love Ballards are heard blasting through speakers and as I sluggishly window shop I can’t help but notice the colors of love manifested in every boutique. I slowly walk away with tears in my eyes as memories of last year’s valentine’s day fill up my mind. I chose to be happy no matter the situation and hope to my singles nest. I know a number of you are not any different from me , so how about we spend it the best way we can as singles.
Gather all your fellow single mates and throw this amazing barbeque or brunch at your place. Nothing comforts a lonely soul better like good food and fine wine or juice or soda, whatever drink it is! Laugh your sorrows away and mingle with new people.

For the ladies, treat yourself. Have a spa day. A massage costs as low as 30,000 ugx. You could gift yourself too. Buy that sexy dress and shoe that you’ve been envying since the day you glanced on it. If that’s too costly, go for a simple meal at Shaka Zulu or mama Ashanti.

Have a simple cook-in. Spend the day by taking time off to prepare a dish you love and enjoy it in the company of your friends or family.

Stay indoors and watch movies and series. Utilise this day and have ‘me-time’. Catch up on all the TV series and movies you have missed out on all week long.

Its beach day!!! Being a Sunday, its a perfect day to go to the beach with your friends or family. Go and munch on that fish whole heartedly like there is no tomorrow! Flaunt that gorgeous body of yours as you kick that ball around the beach.

Go visiting. Today is the day that you can go visit that friend or relative you have been promising a visit since your senior school days. This way you will avoid being by yourself.

For the serious kind of people, a good book to read should be your best friend come this day. Sit in a corner, far away from all the distractions and get lost in the novel. You will be amazed how fast time will fly you by.

Go to the club on Valentine’s day eve, drink yourself silly. Its crazy, I know. The hangover will keep you occupied all day. You will be too worn out to even recall that it’s valentine’s day and you have no date.

Organize a diner date with your girls. Make reservations at a restaurant. Go and catch up and laugh about everything and anything. Take countless selfies and update your social media.

Being the lent period, you can come spend your day at church like me. Pray and socialize with fellow brethren, connect with the heavenly father.

With the above ideas, I am surely excited for Sunday. There is still time although, if you are secretly in love with me or her or him, let us know!!!
#Happy Valentines day
