Global smartphone maker – Tecno Mobile – is set to launch its latest product in Ugandan Market, as revealed from the Head Quarters in China.
According to the Head Quarter in China, Tecno Mobile has said this will be the phone with the latest version of the Camon series.
“I can’t give you the details but I can assure you that the Tecno Camon C9 is a big thing… It is a phone that every Ugandan would want to have,” the source told the Team in Uganda during the conference meeting on May 26th 2016.
The series is said be camera-centric thus the name Camon – ‘camera on’. Tecno Camon C9’s predecessor, Camon C8, was launched in Uganda in September 2015.
“Tecno C8 is one of the leading smartphones belonging to Excellent Capture V1.0 and it focuses on photograph. Let your ideas break free from the darkness for the optimum brightness and easier focusing in low light,” reads the product summary on the company website.
Our extended source managed to share with us some confidential photos of the Tecno Camon C9 which would be launched in Uganda in the coming months.
From the photos shared; one can tell that the Tecno Camon C9 would still have the 13 megapixels rear camera with slight change in the flashes; they have been merged.
The Tecno Camon C9’s front camera also appears bigger than the C8’s. This could only indicate that the front camera could be more powerful that the 5.0MP camera on Camon C8.
Another unique Camon C8 feature that one can definitely expect in the Tecno Camon C9 is the front camera flash that helps users take clear photos even in the dark.
The front camera has also been shifted from the left to the centre most probably to have front facing selfies.
Camon C8 has a powerful processor (1.3GHz Quad-core) which the Tecno Camon C9’s can only be expected to match of be even faster.
Other specifications of the Camon C8 that one can expect to find (or improved) in the Tecno Camon C9 are: 16 GB ROM; 1 GB RAM; expandable MicroSD up to 128 GB; and a powerful 3000mAh battery.
Camon C8 currently goes for about 460,000UGX – 550,000UGX.
