Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, automation, or the fourth industrial revolution a.k.a 4IR have disrupted this generation with questions roaming around today’s youth about whether or not they are fit for employability after campus. In its advent, the revolution has altered perspectives about necessary skills for a future job market today.
This is where ISBAT University has seen the opportunity to introduce a short coding program on Python. Python has been preferred by developers as the most relevant computer programming language if you want to take part in influencing how computers automate, or “think” and in 2019, hackernoon.com ranked it as the second most popular programming language after web based Javascript.
In the announcement for the short course, ISBAT University states that as a chartered university in Uganda, it has “taken up various initiatives to enhance the innovative skills of the youth”, and this is one of them.
The free course open to S6 leavers only is also a coding competition where winners will receive exciting prizes.
Applicants are being invited via link to register for the short course that will be taking place between 17th and 22nd February 2020 at Isbat University campuses.
