Kampala International University (KIU) has come out to release a new roadmap for the continuation of the 2021/2022 Academic Calendar and accordingly, all studies at KIU are to be conducted online until students are allowed to return physically to the University campuses.
Students who are unable to study online for one reason or another, are required to contact and inform their School or College either directly or through their class coordinators.
Special arrangements are to be made for such students, once face-to-face presence on campus is allowed. However, all students who are able to study online are required to register with their respective Schools and Colleges within two weeks from the date of commencement of their academic sessions.
Information on what is needed for registration is to be obtained from the respective School or College, while guidelines on clearance of student financial obligations are to be obtained from the University Directorate of Finance.
Furthermore, all students registered for studies will have to ensure full attendance of online classes from the first day as specified in the calendar of their respective categories. To that end, it is expected that individual timetables for each class will be made available by the respective School or College.
Ultimately, according to the new roadmap, practical sessions, internships, school practice, and field placements are to be conducted and assessed when the government directive on COVID-19 permit students to return to campus or to teaching or training sites.
