News coming in from Kampala International University (KIU) indicates that the administration is in the process of issuing out online examinations to its students.
On its media platforms, KIU informed its students to prepare for the mock examinations on Monday June 28th 2021 and final examinations on 5th July 2021 despite the fact that all students are at their homes waiting for the lockdown to be lifted by the President.
The Mock examination will commence on Monday 28th June and lapse on Friday 2nd July 2021. To do the mock exams, students can only log in with their actual exam username and password which will be sent to their KIU email address when they request it, KIU posted.
Students with outstanding fees have been advised to clear the remaining dues in time to avoid disturbances in the examinations period since examinations will be attended by only those who are financially cleared.
The Mock examination is meant to allow students to use the platform with their actual exam username and password and become familiar with the system before the real exam will start on 5th July.
Students are directed to access examination username and password by logging to https://exams.kiu.ac.ug/get_login_details.phpIt should be remembered that on 6th June, President Museveni closed all education institutions for 42 days as a way of curbing the spread of COVID-19 in its second wave.
If this goes well, KIU will be among the pioneer universities to administer online examinations to students in Uganda.
