The heavy down pour which started in early hours of today, (November 5) Friday morning has left many Kyambogo university students helpless.
The greatly affected students reside in the areas of Kasenyi and were forced to wake up after realizing that their rooms are deeped into water.
The rooms in the area were all deeped into flood water causing the risk of spreading water borne diseases.
“We woke up late in night when water had entered into our bed rooms. We had to lift our beds, mattresses and electronic gadgets to put them in the neighbouring dry areas,” Asiimwe Tom one of the victims revealed.
It’s reported that the same situation happened to Makerere University students staying in slum areas such as Katanga, Kinoni B.
This has happened when students had just reported back to Universities after a long holiday brought up by the COVID-19 lockdown.
