Kyambogo University will today hold a crisis meeting after a section of students whose names are not on the graduation list dragged the institution to court.
The students on Tuesday sued the University (document below) for not including their names on the list, ahead of the graduation slated for next week, despite fulfilling all the requirements.
The university Vice Chancellor Prof. Eli Katugunka saYS the legal team will attend the meeting before filing their defense and wait for the court decision.
He adds that the final list of the graduands is expected to be out today, so some of the aggrieved students are encouraged to check for their names before proceeding with the court action.
Prof Katunguka however, insists, the university will continue with the graduation preparations because they cannot risk 7200 graduands over just 20 aggrieved students yet the number of the affected is reportedly higher than that.
