It may not have been exactly as Mr and Mrs Turyashemererwa had planned, but the beautiful young couple’s ‘scientific’ wedding held today was certainly unique and memorable to those who ‘attended’.
The couple, who had been dating for over 4 years, had initially set 4th April as their wedding day, but the Coronavirus pandemic threw all those plans for a twist.
“We had actually planned to do one with all our relatives and friends back then in the village but unfortunately the pandemic happened. So we just decided to do a ‘scientific’ wedding like H.E the President directed the nation to adopt to in the wake of the epidemic” Turyashemererwa, the bridegroom, said.
The small ceremony was held at Bishop Stuart University chapel today (Saturday) morning which was graced by select family friends and relatives within Mbarara District.
Turyashemererwa is a long-time serving security guard at the Faculty of Law at Bishop Stuart University who (according to him), met his newly wedded wife at a certain lucky church service in Mbarara. We wish the couple a lifetime of love and happiness.
