Preparations for the Makerere University 73rd graduation are in high gear. News reaching Hive is that following their centenary celebrations, Makerere has launched a new graduation gown design.
The new graduation gown design, according to photos seen by Campus Bee features an embroidered Makerere at 100 logo. This logo replaces the Ivory tower iconic logo that has featured on all graduation gowns ever since they were introduced.
It should be remembered that Makerere University first introduced customized Gowns with The Mak Logo in 2017 and these were first bought directly from the University until of recent 2020 when they allowed students to buy from outsiders after the University contracted tailor failed to meet the required demand in time promoting the university had to import gowns from China to cover the shortfall.
The Mak 73rd graduation ceremony will be held from 13th to 17th February, 2023.
