Sunday 22nd October 2017 will be a date that will die hard, in the memories of second year students of Bachelor of Commerce, in Makerere University. It saw one of their classmates, Shen Pharren, get wed in a posh ceremony – the nuptials were such a beauty. However, most of her classmates couldn’t actually believe it was happening when they first heard of it, but the Islamic-themed two-day event, left a whole lot of them in immense admiration.
“I first heard of the wedding in an Economics class.” Said a student. Seeming impressed by the feat.
“In my opinion, she is a reserved girl, and looks so young and innocent. I am happy for her. Very glad that she was taken off the shelf.” He said.
In an entourage of high-end Range Roger Sport cars, the newly weds arrived at Lugogo Exhibition Hall; where they treated their guests with a sumptuous meal and a spectacle of a venue. It all seemed like a fairy tale – Cinderella in holy matrimony with her Crown Prince.
The Kiyimba – both blessed with glowing smiles – couldn’t hide their joy, and indeed, their guests reciprocated the jubilation. Ashraf Pharren Kiyimba, a 26 year old flamboyant city lawyer, didn’t have words to explain how happy he was to have wedded a future accountant. Their match was one written in the stars.
Classmates were excited to see Shane back in class to attend the Tuesday morning lecture – a day after saying her vows. Campus Bee wishes the young couple a blessed marriage.
