Makerere University School of Law Nuremberg Moot Team has won their crucial preliminary prosecution round.
With Law Schools, a moot court competition simulates a court hearing (usually an appeal against a final decision), in which participants analyse a problem, research the relevant law, prepare written submissions, and present oral argument. Moot problems are typically set in areas of law that are unsettled or that have been subject to recent developments. They usually involve two grounds of appeal, argued by each side.
Makerere University School of Law team is a global moot and the representatives have earned an extra 3 points for the Win to push on to a proper position for qualification to the last 16.
The School’s Prosecution team is represented by Amos Mumbere and Ivon Ainemigisha while the Defense team is represented by Cindy Alicia Ogwang and Grace Waiswa Nsaawa.
Announcements to last 16 will be done on Friday 23rd July. The last 16 rounds shall be broadcast on the Nuremberg Moot Court YouTube Channel.
