Makerere University have been the winners of Huawei ICT Continental Competition.
The Makerereans won the competition in the Rainbow Nation, South Africa.Makerere University Vice Chancellor Professor Barnabas Nawangwe has confirmed the development.
“Uganda’s flag rises high again as Makerereans win the Huawei continental ICT competition, at a grand finale event held in South Africa. I congratulate the team on this great representation,” Professor Nawangwe wrote on his official Facebook page.
Huawei ICT Competition is for university and college students to showcase their skills in national, regional and global finals.
The competition aims to drive the development of high-quality ICT talent, select qualified talent for the industry, continuously provide future driving forces and active participants for digital transformation, promote efficient mapping of talent supply and demand, and further contribute to a sustainable talent ecosystem.
