KAMPALA, Thursday July 20, 2015:  Crown Beverages Limited (CBL), the bottler of Uganda’s most refreshing and quality soft drinks, under its flagship brand, Pepsi, has today announced that it will bring back international music icons Konshens and Busy Signal for a concert, dubbed “Dance with Champions Concert,” slated for August 28, 2015 at the Lugogo Cricket Oval.

Pepsi has injected more than Shs200 million into the concert, making the refreshing brand the official sponsor.

Unveiling the package, Mr. Jeff Ssekandi, Customer Marketing Manager Crown Beverages Limited, said sponsoring the Konshens and Busy Signal concert fits well with Pepsi’s Live For Now brand promise, which reflects the insight that its fans all around the world desire to capture the excitement of now – a mind-set that is aligned at the very core with the brand’s DNA.

“Pepsi has decided to sponsor the Konshens and Busy Signal concert, which will undoubtedly be the biggest and greatest concert of the year, because it is a perfect fit between Live For Now, a belief shared amongst all its fans and what the international music stars live for. Konshens and Busy Signal are an extremely talented and ambitious duo.  They have shown their skill on the stage and in musical circles they have demonstrated professionalism and dedication; some of the attributes that Pepsi lives by,” said Mr. Ssekandi.

“They will connect with Pepsi fans, thus deepening the brand’s global equity in a relevant and authentic way.  At Pepsi, we believe it’s not enough for our brands to just say something, they also have to live it,” adds Mr Ssekandi.

He said Pepsi is about fun and entertainment which many people always desire at a particular time. Many times that very moment, is NOW.
