Multinational food chain store Pizza Hut has today launched it’s first ever outlet in Uganda at Village Mall, Bugolobi. After establishing its roots in Kenya and Tanzania in the past years, Uganda is the third country where the American based restaurant has set up to woo with their signature pizzas.
The store launch was proceeded by Pizza Hut’s signature pre-launch activities, the 7 days of Giving and the ‘7 Nights of Tasting’ which were aimed at making the franchise a deep cut in Ugandans. The activities took place around various locations in Kampala and some were surprise show ups to take Ugandan’s hearts.
Speaking at the launch this morning, Managing Director of the Ugandan store Ted Pantone was delighted to announce the entrace of the Pizza Hut Family to Uganda. “It has been a long road to get here and we are thrilled to have hired an amazing team and built a great first outlet here in Bugolobi’s village mall.
“I would like to take this opportunity to announce that it is our aim to open 2 more outlets by the end of 2016 and employ over 350 people by the end of 2018. This will make the continued support of many people, most importantly our customers. We want to welcome you to the restaurant and hope that you love this pizza, chicken and chips that are loved the world over,” added Pantone.
The launch had a few media personalities and the brand ambassadors of Pizza Hut; rapper Tom “The Mith” Mayanja and radio presenter Bryan McKenzie. As usual, pizza bites were on the house and everyone ate to their fill.
According to the CEO Pizza Hut Mr Randall Blackford, he emphasized that you can order pizza from anyway in Kampala and they will have it delivered right to your doorstep.
