The community of Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) is saddened by the death of its staff Member and great academician, Prof Tumwiine Julius.
Associate Professor Tumwine Julius has been the head of Mathematics department at MUST where he served for several years.
According to reports, Prof Tumwiine passed away in the late hours of Monday evening due to cardiac arrest.
Campus Bee obtained information from one of the medical students who attended to him. He said that the late Prof got a cardiac arrest while on dialysis and he was rushed to ICU yesterday.
‘’He got a cardiac arrest while on dialysis. We did emergency resuscitation and he responded positively and he was taken to ICU where he passed on. Cardiac arrest is a condition where the heart suddenly keeps quiet and stops pumping blood,’’ He explained.
His students have described him as a person who loved his job and he would do spare more time to ensure that the students understand his content especially in calculus.
