Some of you will agree that some of these things are not for any average youth, that it doesn’t take only wisdom or knowledge but also courage to be a consultant at an early age or better yet to juggle more than one job with education. Some youths are meant to defy such odds.
Karama Raymond Ralph a very focused lad is a second year student of Industrial and Organisational psychology at Makerere University. Raymond is also a project officer, and communication’s & media officer at Kyusa an NGO that empowers out of school youth in Urban slums to develop sustainable careers through the use of ICT & entrepreneurship skills.
He is also a management consultant (trainer) with Transtrain Consult an organisation that empowers young people in schools with life skills through training in order to enable them successfully tackle future social, work and academic challenges.
When asked how he gained the love to train young people, “it was initially birthed in my eloquence verbally that grew into a passion for training young people in life, soft, employable and entrepreneurship skills”, Raymond commented.
Training the youth in skills that better them is not an easy task seeing that very many youths are not really interested in learning life skills and whatnot. Nonetheless, Raymond adds that it’s been an amazing journey seeing the lives of youth being transformed step by step especially for those who have failed to go on with formal education.
