While appearing on NBS TV Morning Breeze today, Tamale Mirundi, the Presidential Advisor on Media bashed all musicians who were involved in the Tubonga Nawe project meant to sell President Museveni’s 2016 presidential bid.
Mirundi said that musicians who composed a song for Museveni are less influential. “How can a woman who sings while half-naked be involved on a team of musicians to campaign for Museveni??”
He continued: “No one can take Juliana’s message serious,no one can digest deeply info from a woman who is always in the media with headlines like “every man dumps Juliana.”
He also added that Bebe Cool, the project leader, is not influential at all. “Even Simon Kagwanjala is more popular than him [Bebe Cool]…That politics of using musicians cant confront Amama.”
“Chameleone is still poor that is why he is still begging for handouts from the government. Even this Rema who was so poor and now that they bought a house came in this to show that she has left poverty behind and she is also now popular.”
Mirundi said that “at least Ronald Mayinja or Walukaga can incite Baganda through their music and not the above.”
We await if these artistes will fire back at Tamale.
