We all want to get good results at the end of every semester. I personally don’t like retakes, no campuser does. That’s why it is important to improve on some of the things that are letting us down. Since some of you are starting tests soon, here are some tips on how to improve on your study.
Make good notes/ have handouts
The main trick in this is getting the key points during the lectures or in the handouts to help you understand the topics. It even helps reduce on the excess writing since most campusers always complain about being given too much notes to read.
Get off social media for a while
I know this will be hard for most of you campusers, most especially those who have just gotten access to smart phones; this is because the internet is the worst distraction for the social media addicts. Setting some boundaries from it like no Facebook or WhatsApp in class is the best way to get good results.
Don’t over cram
When it’s time for those tests don’t cram. It never helps that’s because once you reach the paper; some people tend to forget what they crammed and start getting nervous. Cram work is actually the worst thing most especially for people with poor memory. If you are a weak memory chap, leave that bit to those guys that can handle.
Stay organized
Keep sticky notes, returned assignments or important handouts around your room that can help you understand when you start to read again. Don’t forget to have an organized timetable for reading or something related to your studies. This will make it easier for you to know what you want to do for the day and also improve your reading.
Don’t over study
Don’t over read all your notes, I mean pick out the relevant ones mostly and avoid absorbing useless information. Once in a while hit the bar with your buddies, go for movies and take a chill pill, this will help you relax your mind and also create room for you to receive new information and better ideas.
