Ndejje University has become profound in the sports world compared to other Universities in the nation. The University has registered milestones in most University games and competitions, proceeding to other levels like National Leagues. Ndejje University participated in the country’s top flight football competition in the 2018-19 season, the latest by any University.
The diversity of Sports at Ndejje has become fruitful to an international level, producing stars to feature in this year’s Tokyo Olympics. Agahozo Alphonsine (BHRM) and Eloi Maniraguha (ACBA), the pair from the Luweero based institution is part of the Rwanda Olympics team and there specialty will be swimming.
The prolific swimmers will take part in the upcoming international multi-sport event scheduled to be held from 23 July to 8 August 2021 in Tokyo, Japan. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the event was postponed in March 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
On confirmation of their participation, Ndejje University shared with the world the great news with a Tweet;
“Our International Students from Rwanda; Agahozo Alphonsine (BHRM) 3rd from left and Eloi Maniraguha (ACBA) 5th from left will feature for @RwandaOlympic in the Tokyo Olympics Swimming competition. We congratulate them for the great achievement.”
