In a bid to reduce incidences of drunk driving, Uganda Breweries Limited has reactivated the Red Card responsible drinking campaign in Kampala. Dubbed, “Your Night, Your Choices, Your Consequences. Don’t Drink and Drive”, the campaign is geared at helping people make informed decisions about drinking.
The initiative has rolled out activations in different malls in Kampala including Nakumatt Oasis, Capital shoppers Ntinda, Garden city, and Shoprite Lugogo.
Dressed in cop’s attire, UBL scouts last week interacted with society members and gave them tips on responsible drinking.
Speaking about the campaign, Charity Kiyemba, Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs, UBL said, “As a responsible brand, it’s important that UBL reminds consumers that misuse of alcohol can cause far reaching consequences.”
UBL Scouts will next month take the activation to Total petrol stations around Kampala, where they will engage motorists and promote a safe ride home concept.
