News coming in from Lusaka, Zambia’s Capital indicate how a leading university ordered its female students to stop visiting the library ‘half naked’ reasoning that this does little in helping the male students.
The University Of Zambia that boosts of over thirty five thousand (35, 000) students and one of the largest institutions in the country is where this resolution was passed yesterday, Monday morning before pinning the notice on the main library entrance something that raised mixed feelings amongst the stake holders.
“It has come to our attention that some female students dress half naked as they use the library a situation which is disturbing the male students. We therefore advise the female students to dress modestly as you use university facilities.” – Reads the notice.
Among the many students that reacted to this directive, the male counterparts seemed to be okay with the females kind of dressing saying that it makes them happy and that the University is being dictatorial. Some of the female students were however in support of the move saying it should not only be with the library, but lectures too.
Zambia was declared a Christian nation and its largely conservative with in the leadership.
