Ronah Asiimwe, an alumna of Makerere University from the School of Social Sciences has been engaged to her longtime lover, whom she met on social media site – Facebook.
The smiley and beautiful Asiimwe was proposed to on Heroes Day deep in the grasslands of Lake Mburo National Park by a photographer and businessman Makoma Nation.
The two, according to insiders, met some years ago when Makoma gathered courage to initiate small chat in her Facebook Message Inbox.
Asiimwe, a proprietor of the first Urban Rolex Booth in the western Uganda regional centre Mbarara, runs the business with her fiancee and they both stay in the same town. She graduated from Makerere in January 2020 after three years studying at the Ivory Tower.
Makoma, when down to one knee and proposed to a jolly and excited Asiimwe in the full view of park rangers and surprised giraffes whose style of eloping is different from humans. The giraffes barely acquire consent of their partners whenever they want to reproduce and their surprise was really expected.
