Kyambogo University has released its comprehensive tuition fees structure for privately sponsored students for the 2025/2026 academic year.
This, includes semester fees ranging from UGX 168,000 to UGX 2,250,000 depending on the program and student category.
The university’s fees structure, announced by University Bursar Kasirye Bukulu Stevens, applies to Ugandan, East African, and international students across all faculties and schools.
Ugandan and East African students pay identical rates, while international students face significantly higher fees, typically 50% more than local students for most programs.
The most expensive programs include Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Architecture, and Bachelor of Mechatronics and Biomedical Engineering, each costing UGX 1,500,000 per semester for Ugandans and East Africans, and UGX 2,250,000 for international students.
In contrast, the most affordable programs are the Diploma in Education Primary (External) at UGX 168,000 per semester for locals and UGX 252,000 for international students, along with various Bachelor of Education programs at UGX 420,000 per semester for Ugandans and East Africans and UGX 630,000 for international students.
Functional fees vary by student status: new students pay UGX 572,000, continuing students pay UGX 497,000, and finalists pay UGX 567,000. Second semester fees include an additional UGX 100,000 examination fee.
Students must complete fee settlement and registration within eight weeks from the start of each semester.
