Fresh first year students started reporting on 5th February 2022 for their first semester of the academic year 2021\2022.
Senate in their 66th meeting held on 20th December 2021 with the school and faculty demands drew a calendar for the fresh first year students. According to the calendar, the fresh first year students will be oriented for one week from 6th February to 12th February.
It is also around this time that there will be a Bazaar at the East End pitch were trades and business people will be selling necessary commodities to the students at affordable prices.
Face to face lectures which are scheduled to take a six weeks period will commence on 14th February and end on 27th March. This will be followed by Open distance and e learning (OdeL) which will be for four weeks starting from 28th March to 24th April.
Examinations for these students are expected to start on 28th April and end on 8th May 2022, as shown below.
The senate emphasizes standard operating procedures (SOPs) in and around the lecture rooms and the university at large to help the country curb the spread of COVID 19.
Note that the word “Fresh” is being used in order to distinguish the new first year students from the current first year students at the university that is there will be two sets of first year students.
