Makerere University has released its semester calendar for the 2024/2025 academic year, marking significant dates for both new and returning students.
The academic year will kick off with a week-long Freshers’ Orientation from August 3rd to August 9th, 2024.
This orientation is designed to help new students acclimate to university life, providing them with essential information and support to navigate their first year successfully.
Following the orientation, Semester One will commence on August 12th, 2024, and run through November 16th, 2024.
During this period, students will engage in blended learning, which includes both physical and online instruction lectures, a trend that has been maintained since the Covid-19 pandemic.
The semester will culminate in examinations from November 18th to December 7th, 2024, the official closing date.
