Makerere University has called for persons with disabilities who applied for admission under the Disability Entry Scheme to attend a mandatory medical review exercise later this month.
According to an official announcement dated May 14, 2025, from the Office of the Academic Registrar, Prof. Buyinza Mukadasi, the review will take place at the Telepresence Centre on Level Two of the Senate Building from May 26th to May 30th, 2025.
The daily sessions will run from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The university emphasized that only candidates who meet specific academic requirements will be interviewed during the exercise.
These include having at least two principal passes at A’Level or its equivalent and a minimum of five passes at O’Level or its equivalent.
“Only candidates who sat ‘A’ Level in 2024, 2023, and 2022 are eligible for admission,” the notice stated.
Those who fail to appear on any of the specified days will forfeit their chance for consideration this academic year.
Additionally, applicants who hold other government scholarships are not eligible for admission through the Disability Entry Scheme.
The medical review is part of the admission process for the 2025/2026 academic year at Makerere University.
