Makerere University has extended the deadline for receiving application forms for new students to Friday 26th August 2016. This comes after it was found out that some students could not access application forms due to the previous strike by the non teaching staff.
The applications will be for new students who are wishing to join under the private sponsorship scheme. The submission of applications will be done online.
According to the university senior public relations officer, Ritah Namisango some students could not access the services including application forms therefore their was need to come up with a decision allowing students to be able to apply for admission, hence extending the date.
She also adds that no new student will be allowed to line up at the university for their application to be reviewed. Those interested should apply online where their applications will be screened within two days and feedback given to them through their emails.
