Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) has announced the Freshers’ Orientation Programme for the academic year 2024/2025.
The orientation is to take place from August 20 to August 23, 2024, at the Town Campus.
This programme is designed to help first-year students acclimate to university life by addressing various important aspects such as academic issues, socio-cultural concerns, extracurricular activities, security, and personal safety.
The programme kicked off today, August 20, 2024, with a session focused on health talks and life skills, where Peer Leaders, Nurses, and Security personnel will engage with the students in the Faculty of Science Room S403.
The following day, August 21, 2024, will cover academic issues with key insights from the Academic Registrar, Library Department, and ICT, also in Room S403. On August 22, 2024, the Dean of Students will lead a session on student welfare.
The orientation culminates on August 23, 2024, with a meeting with the Guild for the election of the Chief Fresher at the PLT Building, followed by an Admission Ceremony officiated by the Vice Chancellor at the Pharmacology Grounds.
This orientation program is crucial for freshers to understand university policies, resources, and the academic environment.
