The Academic Registrar of Makerere University, Prof. Buyinza Mukadasi, has announced a significant revision to the 75th graduation ceremony schedule.
The most notable change affects the Makerere University Business School (MUBS), which will now hold its graduation ceremonies on Wednesday and Thursday, January 15th-16th, 2025, rather than the previously communicated Thursday and Friday slots.
The first day of MUBS graduation on Wednesday will feature graduands from the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Tourism, Hospitality and Languages, Faculty of Marketing and International Business, Faculty of Economics, Energy and Management Science, and Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management.
The second day will see graduands from the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, Faculty of Computing and Informatics, Faculty of Management, Faculty of Commerce, and Faculty of Procurement and Logistics Management receiving their degrees.
Following this adjustment, Friday, January 17th, will now be dedicated to three major colleges: the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES), College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT), and College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHUSS). The schedule for Monday and Tuesday remains unchanged from the original announcement.
The graduation ceremonies will take place at the Freedom Square, starting at 8:30 AM each day. The Academic Registrar’s office has specifically noted that graduands from the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research should contact the School Registrar for additional details about their graduation arrangements.
