Makerere University is gearing up for its 75th Graduation Ceremony, set to take place from January 13th to 17th, 2025.
As part of the preparations, the university has announced that the distribution of graduation gowns will commence on December 17th, 2024.
According to the official notice, all graduands are required to pick up their graduation gowns from Room 2.2 Frank Kalimuzo CTF between 9am and 4pm.
To collect their gowns, students must provide their name as it appears on the Senate Graduation List, their student/national ID, and the gown payment slip.
It’s important for graduates to note the official graduation fees, as outlined by the university.
Undergraduate and master’s students will need to pay a total of UGX 200,000 (or US$160 for international students), which covers the graduation, convocation, certificate, and transcript fees, as well as the cost of the graduation gown.
PhD students have a slightly different fee structure, with a total of UGX 600,000 (or US$30 for international students).
With the 75th edition just around the corner, the university is working diligently to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for all the graduands.
