As the 75th graduation gets closer, Makerere University has issued clear instructions to students on the steps they must take to clear with the university library before graduation.
The university’s library has released a public notice informing students that if they are finalists and planning to clear with the library, they should follow a few simple steps.
First, students are required to upload their research projects or dissertations (where applicable) to the university’s online repositories. Detailed guidelines on the upload process have been provided for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Next, the library has stressed the importance of returning all borrowed books. If a student has lost a library book, they are advised to contact their college librarian for guidance on the replacement process.
Perhaps most crucially, the notice states that students must present their original university ID or admission letter at the main library to obtain clearance.
This clear communication from Makerere’s library aims to help students navigate the process smoothly, avoiding any last-minute challenges that could delay their graduation.
