Over the weekend, a total of 1318 students graduated from Mbarara university of science and technology (MUST) from various disciplines at the 28th graduation ceremony.
Among these, 29 were PhD graduates, the highest number of PhD graduates MUST has ever had on graduation ceremonies with 7 females and 22 males.
Majority of the 29 PhD graduates’ research focused on how to have a healthy life within their communities. Others were in the fields of Medicine, Science, Technology, Education, Business, Engineering and Governance.
While conferring the PhDs, the University Chancellor Prof. Charles Mark Lwanga Olweny advised the PhD graduates to make use of the knowledge MUST has equipped them with to change the livelihoods of their communities.
