Uganda Christian University (UCU) has officially announced the date for the 26th Graduation ceremony.
The conferment of academic rewards is scheduled for Friday, July 4th, 2025, at the institution’s Main Campus in Mukono.
In a comprehensive notice from the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, the university outlined critical deadlines and requirements for graduating students.
“Eligible students must complete clearance with all university departments by Wednesday, June 11th, 2025,” stated Associate Professor Angella Napakol, Director of Academic Affairs.
“Names of cleared students will be displayed on notice boards and across UCU social media platforms by June 13th.”
The university has established a tiered graduation fee structure: 450,000 Ugandan shillings for Bachelor’s and Diploma students, 500,000 for Master’s and Postgraduate Diploma students, and 950,000 for PhD candidates.
Students can collect their academic gowns from respective faculties starting June 16th. Additionally, graduands are invited to attend a Commissioning Service on Thursday, July 3rd at Nkoyoyo Hall.
The notice emphasizes that students whose results are submitted after the Senate Meeting will need to wait for the October 2025 graduation. Meanwhile, those writing dissertations or completing field work must have submitted final copies by April 17th, 2025.
“We want to remind students about the certification process and proper handling of official documents,” noted Prof. Napakol. “Original certificates are printed only once, with no replacements available in case of loss or damage.”
The university has also established procedures for document collection after graduation day, with specified dates and requirements for representatives collecting on behalf of graduates.
“UCU remains committed to ensuring a smooth graduation process for all our students as they mark this significant milestone in their academic journey,” added Prof. Napakol.
