Uganda Christian University (UCU) put up a poll on X (twitter) to identify the best social influencer of the year.
The search was open for both female and male graduands of the 28th graduation ceremony scheduled to take place on Friday, 5th July, 2024.
The nominees of the Awards for the male category were Etenu Joseph Valentine, Joshua B Morris, Brian Mutono, Samuka Herman Mugoda while Natasha Alinda, Kwagala Gloria, Nambooze Justine Shilla and Nakijoba Caroline represented the females.
These were nominated basing on different factors which included upholding the values of the university, being “people’s people” and inspiring their peers that they can make it amidst all the huddles.
Different UCU students have given their opinions as to why they are voting a particular candidate .
Many said Brian Mutono is “the goat” because he was so approachable and always willing to help.
As the conversation went on, others said Valentine Etenu should take the award due to the fact that he is a very social person and brings light to the house .
It didn’t stop the wind from blowing, Natasha Alinda was said to be the meaning of exquisite and go-to person in need, making most students to vote in her favour.
Voting closed yesterday on the X poll and the results determined who will take the award home.
