Makerere University is one of the finest universities in Africa. It has some of the most brainy and resourceful personnel and amazing structures and an academic ambiance, Muk has the brightest students and CHEATS.

Academic malpractice is the Achilles heel holding Makerere hostage. It’s not news when students are caught cheating, every time, students are found with strikingly identical work that point to nothing but the possibility of collision. This is mainly in the take -home courseworks, Lecturers have a keen eye but often choose to allow the vice go unpunished.

The faculty of Economics has the highest rate of examination malpractice, this is not unquestionable. This explains why most exam guards are stationed around FEMA. The big number of students at the faculty could be the reason.
Last week, 3 students were arrested engaging in the act and arrested, one of the students broke free and ran like a possesed man to freedom.

It’s reported that the vice is spread in papers that require ,use of computers, like ICT, IT, AutoCAD Archicad at the college of Engineering, students here share, data on their flash drives, with some editing.

It’s not strange to see, a student pull out their smartphone and ask google for answers. Google is often helpful.
“You can’t survive a retake at the college of forestry without google “sniffed ,Simon. A 2nd year forestry student.

Some faculties like the school of law have a no nonsense policy with regard to phones inside examination room. However crafty students will do anything.
Jessy, a 2nd year law student to this reporter, how he was shocked to see a mature student pull out a wand of summary papers, which was the size of a matatu rack, he perused through his raw materials and picked what he needed and returned the same to his jacket.

Girls are known to hide raw materials in their bras, Brian at FEMA says he once saw a beautiful lady pull out a huge hand out from the depth of her thighs. Others write on their bodies.

Cunning boys hide their bullets in toilets and when the paper heats up, they excuse themselves and consult their WIKIPEDIA’S.

IT’S a silent evil, however, lecturers have been implicated in the vice, the male lecturers are suspected of leaking the papers prior to the paper as a strategic sex investment.
,”How does one explain the fact that a pretty girl comes to you each time with some questions for discussions and it’s never strange to find identical numbers in the paper,”as Charleston claims,”luck doesn’t knock your door 4 times in a row. ” he added.

This noble university is threatened by this vice, soon the evil will ruin MUK, it’s just a matter of time before we produce quack lawyers and false accountants, mediocre products of cheating.
