The hatred between Kyambogo University and Makerere University originates from the administration. When Prof. Kagonyera said Kyambogo should to be downgraded back to a polytechnic, he forgot that the director of National Council for Higher Education, Prof. Asibo Opuda who is responsible for accrediting all universities to operate and all courses has been VC Kyambogo instead, he can take MUK back to be Makerere College Secondary School as it was before.
Muk college of science and agriculture gave us, products of Kyu hard time when we applied for a Masters course until the four Prof. and doctors of the dept of Agriculture had to begin Agriculture Masters course in Kyu.
We know MUK is Uganda’s number one but they should appreciate the fact that Kyambogo also favourably competes that is why it is the second biggest public university in Uganda, next to MUK.
I am proud to be an alumni of Kyambogo because it trained me how to hustle from the first time I applied to the last time of picking my transcript.
