PAPA WERE SALIM, 24, 85TH GUILD PRESIDENT, MAKERERE UNIVERSITY KAMPALA
My name is Papa Were Salim. Currently, I am the guild President of Makerere University Kampala. The biggest concern of our generation is youth participation in decision making and taking over leadership at all levels.
To address this need, it is important that a faith based foundation is given to us the young people for it is the cords of love wrapped in these faith based values that will cause permanent transformation.
In a nation where young people constitute over 80% of the general population, it is important that indigenous organizations like the National Christian Students Association (NCSA) take lead in world transformative leadership.
From the mind blowing reports I have received about this National Christian Students Association, I have no doubt that their exceptional uniqueness will empower us as young people with excellent values for the change that we need.
I look forward to this day and no doubt that the right people to champion this cause is the NCSA.
