Dear Diary,
Blessed be my 17 points at UNEB, definitely drawing my roots all the way from Villa Maria Masaka, I was the cream d’ la cream at the time; the district’s RDC had to applaud me for my achievement [eavesdropped dude stopped in Junior School]. So to him I was the Issac Newton of his era to me, it was just some normal stage I had passed; the daily strokes of a cane, the morning preps, never ending pep talks from the Head mistress and her accomplices not forgetting the winter hours for the subsidiary math paper.
Knock knock my phone’s message notification was set off. And hear the message was, I had officially been admitted to Makerere University business branch [MUBS] Nakawa. Admiring what my elder brothers and sisters had achieved much at campus, begin with the freedom to the lots of cash and booze, I too imagined what this campus life I was yet to venture into would offer me these next three years. Would such an environment with plenty of freedom and handsome dudes give me the opportunity to lose my virginity to some stranger at some anonymous bar sink lavatories, could I get myself a car, stroll to the gates like a fashion diva attired in the latest Louis Vuittons, could this be an opportunity to surface as the academic giant my village thought I am or am I just hallucinating and having a reverie. So Saturday morning, I picked the best of my wardrobe, wore my makeup, and filled my case to brim with all those normal womanly requirements. My bus ticket check. I strolled to the bus park ready to hit the road for MUBS Nakawa.
Reached Dofra hostel in the evening, I offloaded all my baggage with the help of the custodian and made my way up the staircases, I had to carefully share the corridor with sweaty men and preying eyes. My bag still tightly under my arm, I reached for my room only to be welcomed by two heads, a male and female sited on the bed by the corner. Their sudden composure and unsettled now, Judgement indicated these chaps weren’t expecting me around just yet.
I felt nervous, I was uneasy in mind ,but the quality of nervousness vanished when one of the occupants who I latter recognized as Hilda told me the visitor was about to leave. The boy by the names of Enoch helped me carry my luggage in while my new roommate Hilda helped me organise and settle me in.
It’s at this juncture that Hilda approached me and requested me if I could climb the tree for her since there was a cell about to take place in the room. Initially I thought it had something to do with prayer but since Enoch already had a boner in between his legs definitely it was time for some intertwining. Am a newbie around Nakawa, I sluggishly left the dingy dark room for my roommate be chewed while I whethered and froze out in the cold. Its only until this time that I met this gorgeous looking dude walking past the gate. We greeted, talked one thing led to the other till. Till next Saturday It’s been yours sincere Ritah The Monger.
