In the Marvel universe, there is a small nation called Wakanda. It is located in equatorial Africa, and surrounded by the nations like Uganda, Kenya, Somalia, and Ethiopia, and was named for its native inhabitants, the Wakandans.
Wakanda is a nation of vast contrasts. While tribal in government and relatively primitive in certain aspects of its culture, Wakanda possesses technology often more sophisticated than anywhere else on Earth.
The current inhabitants live under the leadership of chieftain Black Panther (T’Challa).
T’Challa is a brilliant tactician, strategist, scientist, tracker and a master of all forms of unarmed combat whose unique hybrid fighting style incorporates acrobatics and aspects of animal mimicry.
T’Challa being a royal descendant of a warrior race is also a master of armed combat, able to use a variety of weapons but prefers unarmed combat. He is a master planner who always thinks several steps ahead and will go to extreme measures to achieve his goals and protect the kingdom of Wakanda.
Black Panther will debut in Captain America: Civil War In 2016, and the movie will be released on July 6, 2018.
